A wildfire has hit southern Spain, forcing 2,000 other people from the city of Benahavis to evacuate their properties.
The blaze began on Wednesday 8 June, within the slopes of Pujerra Mountain within the Sierra Bermeja, above the Costa del Sol – a well-liked vacation spot for British vacationers at the Andalusian coast.
Helicopters had been deployed to check out and extinguish the fires and government stated 3 firefighters had been injured whilst seeking to take on the flames.
